Be A Part of the Haunted Peninsula
October 1st - October 31st
Haunted House Competition
Create a Haunted House They'll Never Forget!
Do you love making people scream? Then it's time to turn your home into one of the featured attractions of the Haunted Peninsula! We're looking for creative homeowners to build unforgettable home-made haunted houses that will thrill visitors throughout October. Whether your haunt is creepy, terrifying, funny, or family-friendly, this is your chance to show off your creativity and become part of the Peninsula's newest Halloween tradition.
We know creating a haunted house takes a lot of work, so we're not asking you to dedicate your home for the entire month. Instead, participating haunted houses only need to be open for one Friday and Saturday during October. You're welcome to choose the weekend that works best for you, and you're free to charge admission if you'd like. It's a fun way to celebrate Halloween while making a little extra money before the holiday season.
Get Featured on the Official Haunted Peninsula Map
Every registered haunted house will receive its own map marker on the official Haunted Peninsula page on the Marsh's Free Museum website. We'll also list the dates your haunted house will be open along with your admission price (if any), making it easy for visitors to plan their spooky adventures. Unlike participating businesses and residences, haunted houses will not be included in the Haunted Peninsula Scavenger Hunt, allowing guests to enjoy the full experience without interruptions.
Compete for the Title of Best Haunted House
All participating haunted houses will compete for the title of Best Haunted House, along with prizes, recognition, and the bragging rights that come with creating one of the Peninsula's most unforgettable Halloween attractions. Whether your haunt is built to terrify or entertain, you'll be helping create an October experience that keeps visitors coming back year after year.
